Chef Brian Domínguez opens his second Puerto Rican restaurant and brings the Caribbean culinary flavors to Palm Beach County
Chef Brian Domínguez announces the opening of his second restaurant – Casa Borinquen WPB – in Palm Beach County. The restaurant, located at 3897 N. Haverhill Rd., West Palm Beach, FL 33417, offers a menu focused on the culinary traditions of the island of Puerto Rico. Chef Brian opened his first Casa Borinquen restaurant in 2012 in the city of Hollywood in Broward County. His success in Hollywood inspired him to seek a culinary future to the north, where the need is greater for the Latinos in the Palm Beach area.
“For me it has been a dream to expand Casa Borinquen and bring the flavors of my island of Puerto Rico to Palm Beach County. Now this dream has come true and we hope that the Latino and Anglo community comes to our restaurant to savor typical Puerto Rican cuisine. All dishes are made with family recipes passed down from generation to generation.” said Chef Brian.
Casa Borinquen in West Palm Beach has a capacity of more than 150 seats, a full bar, and an area for live music. The chef-driven menu offers the most beloved Puerto Rican dishes from Alcapurrias to Stuffed Mofongos and Asopaos. The JibaritoSandwich – a special fusion of Puerto Rican cuisine will also be present as well as other favorites such as La Tripleta. Other Puerto Rican specialties included in the menu will be the Can-Can Pork Chop, and the Mar Caribe entree – a dish that includes a full fried snapper (known as Chillo Frito) stuffed with octopus, shell, and shrimp.
The decoration of the restaurant, casual and colorful, has as its main attraction a photographic mural which includes more than 50 Puerto Rican personalities such as the Gran Combo, Roberto Clemente, Benicio del Toro, and Hector Lavoe.
The restaurant’s hours of operation are Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday from 11:30 – 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11:30 – 11 p.m. Casa Borinquen will have “take-out” service of all its menu as well as catering service.
